520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc.
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In this paper, we discuss tough-movement constructions in Greek, which we compare to their English counterparts. We argue that Greek provides evidence for a base generation analysis of tough-movement constructions. We furthermore offer an explanation for the fact that only very few predicates function as tough-predicates in the language. Finally, we address the issue of diachronic change that Greek tough-movement constructions underwent, which resulted in the obligatory presence of a clitic in the embedded clause.
