| Summary, etc. | With the establishment of neoliberal hegemony appears a new form of subjectivation, which is the Sadean man. This new figure submits to an ideal of complete “jouissance”, carried by a sadistic and merciless Other. This leads the subject to internalize the neoliberal laws and become “self-entrepreneur”, as Foucault has defined it in his works. But as we can see from decisions of the European Court of Human Rights, taken up and analyzed by the lawyer Bernard Edelman, the distinction between subject and object of jouissance is less clear than before. This ultimately results in an entrepreneurial system which constantly uses the worker, mistreats and submits him to an unstoppable authority. This relationship of power -and more broadly- the neoliberalism, is particularly suited to obsessive neurotics, as we were able to realize in our clinical work. |
