| Summary, etc. | Les établissements pénitentiaires sont organisés sur la base du principe de l’incarcération séparée selon les sexes. Une telle binarité de genre, rigide et cisnormative, est problématique pour les personnes trans détenues. Cet article se base sur des interviews avec des personnes trans (ex-) détenues et des professionnel·le·s du milieu carcéral belge. L’analyse présente les expériences et les difficultés principales auxquels les personnes trans détenues font face : les décisions de placement et de transfèrement, les différentes formes de (micro-) agressions, l’organisation et l’infrastructure carcérale genrée, ainsi que le manque d’accès à certains services, articles et soins spécialisés. |

| Summary, etc. | Prisons are organised on the basis of sex segregation. This rigid and cisnormative gender binarity is problematic for trans prisoners. This article is based on interviews with (ex-) trans prisoners and professionals in the Belgian prison system. The analysis presents the main experiences and difficulties that trans people in prison face: placement and transfer decisions, different forms of (micro-)aggression, gendered prison organisation and infrastructure, as well as the lack of access to certain services, items and specialised care. |

Esta binariedad de género rígida y cisnormativa resulta problemática para los reclusos trans. Este artículo se basa en entrevistas con (ex) reclusos trans y profesionales del sistema penitenciario belga. El análisis presenta las principales experiencias y dificultades a las que se enfrentan los reclusos trans: decisiones de internamiento y traslado, diferentes formas de (micro)agresión, organización e infraestructuras penitenciarias basadas en el género, así como falta de acceso a determinados servicios, productos y atención especializada. |

| Summary, etc. | Gefängnisse sind nach dem Grundsatz der getrennten Inhaftierung nach Geschlecht organisiert. Eine solche starre und cisnormative Geschlechtsbinarität ist problematisch für Transgen-der-Gefangene. Dieser Artikel basiert auf Interviews mit transsexuellen (Ex-) Gefangenen und Bediensteten aus dem belgischen Gefängnismilieu. Die Analyse stellt die wichtigsten Erfahrungen und Schwierigkeiten dar, mit denen Transgender-Personen im Gefängnis konfrontiert sind: Unterbringungs- und Verlegungsentscheidungen, die verschiedenen Formen von (Mikro-) Aggressionen, die genderspezifische Organisation und Gefängnis-struktur ebenso wie der fehlende Zugang zu bestimmten Diensten, Gegenständen und spezialisierter Betreuung. |
