Les transformations corporelles apparaissent alors comme des stratégies singulières de reprise de ses failles. Ainsi différentes parties du corps sont convoqués pour «faire visage», pour tenter de donner perspective ou distance vis-à-vis d’un corps qui fait effraction psychique. |

| Summary, etc. | Identification with the image during the mirror stage can leave behind fault lines which are actualised in experiences of ‘staring’. Bodily transformations then appear as singular strategies for returning to these fault lines. Thus different parts of the body are convoked for the purpose, as it were, of ‘showing a face’, of recounting what is sometimes an unusual story, which attempts to give perspective or distance vis-à-vis a body which is breaking in upon the psyche. |
