Summary, etc. |
520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC. | |
Summary, etc. | Board directors’ motivations in nonprofit organizations and expected board role : an empirical studyWhat do board directors expect from the board in non profit organizations ? We first argue that the board is composed of directors who were volunteers and once decided to enter the board ; then we propose two hypotheses linking the expected board role and the content of the motivations to become a director. The results of our empirical study with thirty-three board directors from three non profit organizations of the social sector display two profiles, each one linked with an expected board role. These results and some future research are discussed. |
