| Summary, etc. | Introduction : Therapeutic patient education (TPE) has grown considerably during the last few years on the France national territory, also because of its recognition by the French law, which enabled numerous health workers personnel to propose TPE activities to their patients. Because of this rapid growth, many health centres and hospitals have founded their own Transversal Patient Education Units (UTEP) to coordinate the educational offer, organization and resources. These units are often set up in university hospitals and important health centres. Objective: The objective of this article is to propose that this UTEP would be part of the new territorial hospitals’ group (GHT) leading cooperation among several public health structures on a common territory. Description: The UTEPs would coordinate the TPE in the region inside and outside the health structures part of GHT, to make the offer of TPE available and clear for the patients and the local health partners. Conclusion: The development of a GHT could be an opportunity to create this regional UTEP to promote and develop TPE at the level of a whole region using GHT as a methodological and helpful support. |

| Summary, etc. | Introduction : Le développement notoire de l’éducation thérapeutique du patient (ETP) ces dernières années sur le territoire national, dû en grande partie à son inscription dans la législation française, a permis à de multiples acteurs de santé de proposer aux patients des activités d’ETP. Au vu de cette évolution rapide de l’ETP, de nombreux établissements créent des unités transversales d’éducation du patient (UTEP) en leur sein pour coordonner l’offre éducative, ses organisations et ses pratiques. Elles sont souvent déployées dans les CHU et les établissements de santé de grande taille. Objectif : Le développement des UTEP pourrait s’envisager dans le cadre des récents dispositifs de groupements hospitaliers de territoire (GHT) régissant la coopération entre plusieurs établissements publics de santé d’un même territoire. Description : L’UTEP de GHT coordonnerait l’ETP à l’échelle d’un département « dans » et « hors les murs » des établissements publics faisant parties du GHT, pour rendre accessibles et claires les offres d’ETP pour les patients et pour tous les partenaires de santé du département. Conclusion : La constitution d’un GHT pourrait être une occasion pour créer une UTEP départementale afin de promouvoir et développer l’ETP au sein d’un département, en utilisant ce GHT comme support méthodologique et de diffusion. |
