520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This study is aimed to investigate the development of a causal conception of personality traits in children. The protocol was designed to study the relation between intentionality of action and trait inference. The study involved 182 children from 3,9 to 9,3 years. Results showed that intentionality information was correctly processed by five years old children, and that the connection between intentionality and personality trait was not made before 7. Eight years old children consider traits as latent variables, referring to a coherent pattern of behaviours. Results are discussed with respect to theory of mind development, causal development and internality.
