| Summary, etc. | Cet article propose d’étudier les manifestations des violences envers les femmes dans l’espace public à partir d’une perspective intersectionnelle. Pour ce faire, il interrogera comment l’accès et les usages de l’espace public sont structurés par différents rapports de pouvoir. Sur la base d’une enquête sociologique fondée sur des focus groups consacrés aux représentations de l’espace public de 80 femmes à Genève, cet article pointera les multiples frontières sociales et symboliques qui contribuent à fabriquer un ordre sexué, mais aussi social et racial, dans la ville. En outre, cet article rendra visible la façon dont cet ordre sexué se manifeste à partir de pratiques discursives et symboliques, d’agressions physiques et sexuelles, de violences lesbophobes et transphobes et de violences racistes. |

| Summary, etc. | This article aims to study the expressions of violence against women in public spaces from an intersectional perspective. By doing so, it questions how the access and use of public space are structured by different power relations. On the basis of a sociological survey based on focus groups with 80 women in Geneva, this article describes the multiple social and symbolic boundaries that contribute to a sexual, but also social and racial order of the city. Moreover, this research highlights how this sexual order is expressed through discursive and symbolic practices, physical and sexual aggression, lesbophobic and transphobic violence, and racist violence. |
