| Summary, etc. | RésuméTomber amoureux à l’adolescence fournit le modèle de sentiments qui naissent aussi à un âge avancé. L’auteur souligne que les caractéristiques sont alors les mêmes qu’à l’adolescence et se propose d’en rechercher d’autres qui éclaireraient des aspects méconnus de la relation amoureuse. Sauf pathologie narcissique ou répétition masochiste, une profonde intimité se crée dans le couple à travers le partage du sentiment d’insécurité lié aux risques de l’âge (maladie, dépendance, limitation du temps de vie), à travers aussi le partage du monde interne de l’autre par la connaissance de son passé. Cette intimité admet une sexualité plus libre intégrant des éléments pervers polymorphes infantiles. Théorisant l’évolution de la constellation œdipienne la vie durant, l’auteur montre les cheminements croisés qui conduisent la femme vers la maturité sexuelle et l’homme vers une relation objectale approfondie. La situation idéale décrite isole des potentialités qui vont à l’encontre de l’idée conventionnelle selon laquelle l’amour passionné devient peu probable avec l’âge et permettent de mieux comprendre la psychopathologie amoureuse. |

| Summary, etc. | Love relations in later yearsFalling in love in adolescence provides the model of feelings which can also occur in later life. The author shows that the characteristics are the same as in adolescence and proposes to uncover others characteristics which would illuminate some little known aspects of love relations. Except on the cases of narcissistic pathology or masochistic repetition, a deep intimacy is created through a shared feeling of insecurity related to the aging process and the passage of time, and also by sharing an internal world with the partner through the knowledge of his or her past. This intimacy allows more sexual freedom integrating polymorphous perverse infantile elements. By theorizing the activity of the œdipal constellation throughout the life, the author shows the progression that brings the woman towards sexual maturity and the man towards a deeper object relation. The ideal situation which is described brings out potentialities which run counter the conventional idea that passionate love becomes unlikely with age and allow better understanding of psychopathology of patients in their love life. |
