| Summary, etc. | Circulant de l’âme à la politique et de la politique à l’âme, Patočka fait de Platon l’interlocuteur privilégié de ses écrits historiques et politiques. Qu’un résistant au totalitarisme, figure de la dissidence tchèque, comme le fut Patočka, puisse encore rêver de mêler la politique à l’âme – fût-ce sous une figure post-métaphysique et problématique, voilà qui ne va pas de soi. L’article suit les lignes saillantes de l’étonnant dialogue que Patočka mène avec Platon. Chez Patočka comme chez Platon, l’âme est intrinsèquement politique, la polis agent de transformation de l’âme, et vice versa. Dans ce qu’on pourrait nommer une pneumatopolitique, on a affaire à un seul et même mouvement qui commande à la fois dans un cercle vertueux le salut de l’âme et de la polis, ou au contraire leur double corruption commune. |

| Summary, etc. | Moving from the soul to politics and from politics to the soul, Patočka considers Plato as a privileged interlocutor for his historical and political writings. However, as a resistant to totalitarianism, a figure of Czech dissent, how can Patočka still dream of mixing politics with the soul – even if it is through a post-metaphysical and problematic figure ? This paper try to present some salient features of the dialogue that Patočka leads with Plato. In Patočka as in Plato, the soul is intrinsically political, the polis is an agent of transformation of the soul, and vice versa. In what could be called Patočka’s pneumatopolitics, one’s dealing with one and the same movement that commands in a virtuous circle the salvation both of the soul and of the polis, or on the contrary their double corruption. |
