| Summary, etc. | Cette étude qualitative apprécie la pérennité de deux interventions de suppression du paiement des soins au profit des femmes enceintes, des enfants de moins de cinq ans et des indigents au Burkina Faso. Les résultats montrent l’importance du processus de pérennisation, notamment de la prise de risques dans la gestion de l’intervention, ainsi que de la disponibilité des ressources nécessaires à sa continuité. Ces deux éléments ont été centraux dans la différence de pérennité entre les deux interventions. L’étude montre également que la pérennité d’une intervention n’est pas réductible à la démonstration de son efficacité. D’autres facteurs, qui n’ont cependant pas bénéficié de suffisamment d’attention jusqu’à présent, exercent une réelle influence, telles que l’approche adoptée pour la mise en œuvre des interventions et la perception des leaders de l’organisation cible envers les groupes bénéficiaires des interventions. |

| Summary, etc. | What Sustainability for Free Health Care’s Pilot Interventions in Burkina Faso ? This study based on qualitative research aims to assess the sustainability of the suppression of two healthcare payment subsidy interventions in favor of pregnant women, children under the age of five and indigents that occurred in three health districts in Burkina Faso. The results show the importance of the sustainability process mainly in organizational risk-taking and resource stabilization. These two elements were central to the difference in sustainability between the two interventions. This study also shows that the sustainability of an intervention is not reducible to the demonstration of its effectiveness. The other factors, which have not received much attention so far, but which have real influence, are : the nature of the interventions, the approach adopted in their implementation and the perception that leaders of the target organization have toward the interventions’ beneficiaries seeking to make them sustainable. |

| Summary, etc. | ¿Qué perennidad para las intervenciones piloto de gratuidad de los cuidados en Burkina Faso ? Este estudio cualitativo aprecia la perennidad de dos intervenciones relativas a la suspensión del pago de cuidados a mujeres embarazadas, niños menores de cinco años e indigentes en Burkina Faso. Lo resultados muestran la importancia del proceso de “perennización” de la intervención, inclusive en los riesgos que comportan su gestión, así como de la disponibilidad de los recursos necesarios para darle continuidad. Estos dos elementos fueron centrales en la diferencia de perennidad entre las dos intervenciones. El estudio muestra asimismo que la perennidad de una intervención no se reduce a la prueba de su eficacia. Otros factores ejercen una influencia real, hasta el momento escasamente abordados, como por ejemplo el enfoque adoptado en el desarrollo de las intervenciones y la percepción de los líderes de la organización hacia el grupo beneficiario de la intervención. |
