Cette importante contribution s’explique notamment par l’omniprésence de la marine française le long des côtes du Pérou durant tout le xixe siècle, induisant des relations soutenues avec les ressortissants nationaux établis sur place autant qu’avec les autorités et les élites locales. |

| Summary, etc. | Many precolumbian artefacts from Peru can be found in french museums. Part of them were brought back by mariners encouraged in that by their hierarchy and by scientifical institutions. This noteworthy contribution is due to the omnipresence of the french navy along peruvian coasts during the XIXth century, which induced a strong relationship with french residents or local authorities and elites. |
