Cannabis has a multitude of properties and many potentialities, especially in the treatment of various disorders and chronic pain. Now authorized in many countries for therapeutic purposes, an experiment is currently underway in France on the use of cannabis for medical use, validated by the National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM). Among the best-known compounds of cannabis are delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a major addictive psychotropic drug, and cannabidiol (CBD), which is non-addictive, not covered by narcotics legislation, and the subject of much hype. Nevertheless, CBD also has psychoactive effects that warrant better understanding.
