From the interview of a temporary-placement family in Belgium, the author investigates the links between the involved partners, i.e. the biological parents, the coordinating institution for child protection and the temporary-placement family, and emphasises the peculiar difficulties that they may encounter.It is then pointed out that the confidence that must exist between all these partners is of primary importance. Further, it is underlined that this confidence must be established according to a common and clearly defined therapeutic project and, on the other hand, on a permanent interaction and discussion scheme.
