In the digital era, stakeholder defenders whose interests are ignored can reveal companies’ abuses at any time on social media. These whistleblowers stir up public opinion at the risk of weakening the organizations targeted. Confidential information and rumors circulate quickly, complicating the establishment of a constructive exchange between the different actors. In this context, we seek to answer the following question: How can leaders implement a dialogue that engages all stakeholders in ensuring governance that respects the principles of Corporate Social Responsibility? This article proposes new rules and processes that incorporate continuous negotiation with all stakeholders, a rapid integration of actors that have been absent from discussions, and shared leadership.
