Group illusion during adolescence produces “a fraternal scene” and self-engendering fantasies. Certain groups of adolescents in our multicultural societies defend themselves from “cultural difference integration” by attacking the sense of alterity. In this paper the paradox of fraternity, here reduced to reproducing sameness, is underlined; it provokes exclusion and risk of anomic disorders.
